CONSULTATION
To begin the process, you’ll come to Experience Dental for a consultation with Dr. Dennis Lee. He will examine your mouth, take x-rays, discuss your personal preferences and your budget, and determine if dentures are right for you. If they are, he will take a mold of your gums, teeth, and bite.

INITIAL TEST DENTURE FITTING AND TRY-IN
Your bite mold and other information about your teeth will be sent to a dental lab, where a set of wax test dentures will be built. These test dentures will be sent back to Experience Dental, and you’ll come back for a denture fitting and try-in. You’ll discuss how you feel about your dentures and the fit, and Dr. Lee will assess the dentures and note any adjustments that need to be made. Then, a new set of test dentures will be made. This process will be repeated until your dentures are perfect.

BUILDING YOUR FINAL DENTURES
Once the fit is perfect, our partner lab will build your final set of dentures, which will be sent to our office for a final try-in. Dr. Lee will ensure that everything looks perfect, then send you home to enjoy your new smile.

DENTURE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Dr. Lee will give you a full set of instructions on how to care for your dentures. You’ll need to do things like soak them overnight as you sleep, remove them and rinse them after eating, and brush them regularly to keep them clean.
TYPES OF DENTURES
FULL DENTURES
PARTIAL DENTURES
FULL DENTURES
Full dentures are made of a gum-colored acrylic base, with a full set of acrylic teeth. They are designed to replace the upper, lower, or both arches of the teeth, depending on your needs.
These dentures are the most cost-effective way to restore your entire smile, but are only a good option for patients who have serious oral health issues. This is because they fit directly over the gums, so they require the extraction of all remaining teeth, even if they’re healthy. If you still have most of your healthy teeth, full dentures may not be the right choice for you.
PARTIAL DENTURES
Partial dentures are meant to replace one or more missing teeth. Unlike full dentures, they do not require the removal of any of your teeth. Instead, they use special clips and a wire and plastic framework to snap onto your healthy teeth, which hold the dentures in place firmly.
If you are only missing one or a few of your teeth, partial dentures are a fast, cost-effective way to restore your smile. To find out if they’re right for you, schedule an appointment at our dental office in McKinney TX today.
